Display Your Red,
White and Blue
Use bouquets of red, white and blue daisies as
centerpieces. Drape crepe paper streamers from the walls.
Blow up balloons and float them from the ceiling. Hang
flags around the room. Set the table with a white paper
tablecloth, red paper plates, and blue napkins, and
stick stars all over the tablecloth. Write silly patriotic
phrases on the tablecloth with red and blue felt pens,
such as "Give me ice cream or give me cake."
3-D Floral Flag
1. Buy a large sheet of poster board.
2. Draw an outline of the flag with pencil.
3. Cut red, white, and blue tissue paper into
4" by 4" squares.
4. Spread glue on one area of the flag, pinch
of a square of tissue paper in the appropriate color,
and stick it onto the glue, to make a puffy flower.
Repeat until the poster board is completely filled with
paper flowers.
5. Hang the flag on the wall or front door to
greet the patriots.
Giant Sparklers
1. Paint wooden dowels red, white, and blue.
2. Tape 8 to 10 sparkly pipe cleaners to one
end of the dowel so they stick out from the end.
3. Bend and curl them slightly to make them look
like giant sparkler flames.
